Region 4 Mahashivratri 2020

Region 4 Maha Shivratri Programme, Coventry

The very word Maha Shivratri means ‘The Night of Shiva’ and during the night of 21st February 2020, all centres across Region 4 gathered in Coventry to observe this festival in homage Lord Shiva. Regional Maha Shivratri bhajans brought the region together to sing His Glory in order to bring peace and solace to mankind. The main altar was beautifully decorated with Mount Kailas, Swami’s radiant and majestic photo and resplendent chair placed upon the stage for the gracious Lord to take His seat and preside over the event.  The evening begun with a Shiv Pooja lead by Chirag, followed by a speech from Dr Lakshmi Seetha Ram our distinguished guest. Her thought-provoking question and answer session uplifted the minds of the devotee as she explored her own experiences with Swami with us. The bhajans commenced after midnight and uplifted our hearts as each centre came to the floor with their singers and accompanying instrumentalists. It was certainly clear that the love and pure devotion in which the Lord’s name was sung with could be felt by everyone present and the vibrations resonated strongly in the hall. We ended at 6am on Sunday morning with Suprabhatam and aarti offered to our Beloved Lord to remind us all to share His divine light and warmth of His pure and unconditional love. Before the devotees departed back to their homes, prasadam was offered, prepared lovingly by the devotees.
