Jai Sai Ram, We are blessed
that Swami has provided us with the Sathya Sai Organsiation which
provides so many opportunities for us to develop ourselves further
and proceed in our spiritual transformation. It only takes one
small step for us to try and experience these opportunities. We
really hope you take the step this month and join us for some of the
below activities and experience the bliss which you can derive
from them.

Buddha Purnima Celebrations
|
|
|
|
|
|
On
Sunday 19th
May we will be celebrating the festival of
Buddha Purnima from 9:00am
to 11:30am at Soar
Valley College.
We are extremely fortunate to have Brother Kausala Mendis, from
the local Buddhist Vihara join us on this day. Brother Mendis
will conduct some guided meditation and also present a talk on
the teachings of Lord Buddha.

Health Awareness Day at The Bridge
|
|
|
|
|
|
On
Sunday 14th
May we will be hosting our sixth
Health Awareness Day at The Bridge for the homeless
guests. The focus of this day will be on conducting various
health checks including testing for Hepatitis C. In addition to
that we will have a group of GPs and psychiatrists offering
specialist help to our guests. If you would like to help on the
day in any capacity please contact one of our service coordinators.

As
many of you will know, our Muslim brothers and sisters are fasting
for Ramadan this month. The month of fasting will culminate
with the festival of Eid-al-Fitr.
To mark this occasion we will be having a
special programme of bhajans, qawaalis and a guest
speaker on Sunday
2nd June from 9:00am to 11:00:am at Soar Valley College.

Sunday After Bhajan Activities
|
|
|
|
|
|
Girishbhai
continues his series of parenting workshops on Sunday 12th May. This
month the topic will be “Peer pressure among children”. The
topic will discuss the effects of peer pressure on children and ways
you can support them to recognise the issue and manage it in a
meaningful way. As always it will be an interactive session
trying to bridge science and Baba's teachings. The workshops are
held after bhajans at Soar Valley College.

Marine
will be leading the Vedam classes on Sunday 26th May. This is
a great way for you to learn how to recite the vedam and also
understand their inner significance. The class will run after
bhajans from 10:30am.

SSIO Medical Camp, Russia
|
|
|
|
|
|
We
are pleased to inform you that the Sathya Sai International
Organisation (SSIO) of Russia is organising an International Medical
Camp in Russia. The medical camp (diagnostic / non surgical) is
scheduled to take place from 9
to 17 August 2019. The host has requested for various
medical specialities including: General Medicine, Pediatric,
Optometry, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Neurology, ENT,
Cardiology, Pulmonary Medicine, Endocrinology, Dental (note: basic
dental facilities may be available). Other medical
professionals are also required. Please

in participating in this medical camp.

International Summer Conference in
Prasanthi Nilayam
|
|
|
|
|
The
SSIO is delighted to announce an International Summer Conference in
Prasanthi Nilayam, the Abode of Supreme Peace. The first conference
themed “Living with Sai” will take place from 17th to 21st July 2019.
They are extending a loving invitation to all interested
participants to register for this unique event.
These
international summer conferences are a string of events focused on
personal transformation topics and activities. Typical programmes
include: Group spiritual practices, eminent speakers, unique
experience-sharing sessions, workshops, service activities and guided
visits to key sites around Prasanthi Nilayam, among others. A
parallel programme for children of participants will also be
provided. Registration is required.
