back to basics – ask workshop 2023
This ’back to basics’ workshop was organised for everyone at the Centre. The workshop was planned around the three basic attributes of being a Sai devotee – Attitude, Skills & Knowledge, and it was felt that this would be a good refresher for everyone. A lot has https://leicestersaicentre.org.uk/back-to-basics-flyer/changed since we went through the initial training process and this was an opportune moment to bring everyone together and learn from each other.

The workshop was attended by about 40 delegates, and it was refreshing to see some of the youths/young adults join in as well. Their input to the discussions was invaluable.
We ran the workshop by splitting into two groups & each group were given two of the attributes – Attitude & Skills – to discuss amongst the group and present to the whole class.
There was great interaction between the delegates, with everyone being given opportunity to have their input to the discussions. The presentations from both groups were excellent and quite detailed, particularly as it is the first time for some to stand up & present to the whole class.
The third attribute – Knowledge – was facilitated as a joint discussion with everyone together. Again, lots of discussions ensued and many new (to most of us) ideas were suggested for us to take forward.
There was great feedback at the end of the workshop – ‘would like more of these workshops’, ‘retain the theme of Back to Basics’ and some suggestions for future workshops – effective use of mobile phones, current & new service activities, etc
Here is a summary of the discussions in the form of a handout.
