Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba initiated Ladies Day celebrations to emphasise to the the whole world the crucial role of women in society. He has emphasised that women have a special duty to restore reverence and right action in the home. In Prashanti Nilayam, Ladies Day is celebrated on 19th November each year.
